Push notifications aren't arriving

Apple/Google Wallet push delivery diagnostics.

Updated 17 June 2026·3 min read

Wallet pushes are delivered by Apple or Google, not by Fidz directly — so when they're slow, here's what to check:

  • Apple Wallet push delay is 2-30 seconds normally — but can stretch to 5 minutes during peak traffic.
  • Google Wallet typically 1-10 seconds.
  • Customer's phone must be on Wi-Fi or mobile data. Airplane mode = no push.
  • Push is the only channel — Fidz does not send SMS, so there's no SMS fallback.
  • Wallet push also requires Apple/Google Wallet credentials to be configured on your Fidz instance; if they aren't, no pushes are sent at all.

A push is only attempted for customers who added the card to their Wallet and haven't opted out of push. If a customer removed their pass, never added it, or opted out, no push is sent. Check the customer's detail page to confirm their card is still active.
